Chicken McNuggets

I can't say that I'm a McDonald's Chicken McNugget afficianado, the only time I ever buy them is for children or my dog (she loves them). So today I purchased some McNuggets for my dog and, out of curiousity, I decided to taste one.

The coating tasted like popcorn.

Is it just me or is this a Nationwide phenomenon? It wasn't that it tasted bad, it just tasted like popcorn. Under normal circumstances I do enjoy popcorn, just not on my chicken.
